Today, we will focus on the final revisions to the drafts of our research papers, making sure we all have a good sense of revision needs and logistics for the final submission. We'll start by looking at these few examples.
Once you have looked over these samples to see how they are working with big picture aspects of the reports, you should review the comments that have been posted to your report. Also, note that a document with additional feedback from me. You can download that document as part of your revision planning.
Work on these big picture aspects first, and then you can move on to thinking about the formatting and surface-level concerns. As you work, it will be useful to have this sample APA research paper for reference.
Some of the technical details you will want to ensure you follow include:
- Using quotations
- Integrating figures
- Headings
- Sources (For the bibliography, use citation tools and refer to the appropriate instructions here for the type of source; you may also want to check the APA web site.)
You will also want to use your word processor to make sure you have the steps down for some formatting aspects:
- Headers and Footers
- Title pages and section breaks
You can use these resources, the feedback you have received, and your revision plans to complete reworking the report.
