We've made it to the end of our media composing journey. I've very excited to look over all of the portfolios and reflections on the projects you have created.
Today we will take a look at one of our audio storytelling reflections.
I will then go over end-of-the-semester logistics. Here are some details:
Today we double check on the logistics of submitting the Audio & Storytelling projects, which are due before class on Wednesday. To submit the project, you will need to use the Audio Storytelling posting type.
Today we will do some work on our portfolios before turning to our final video projects.
We will start by creating the portfolio posting, and then I will guide you through entering the video and audio players into the portfolio. If you are missing any assignments, you will have to sit tight and then add them when completed.

Today, we will conduct an additional practice podcast if anyone wants practice. If not we will explore some of the podcasts that are starting to come in on our site.

Today we will organize some practice podcasts using the podcast materials submissions that you have created. We will ask for volunteers, and then pull names if needed.
Once we have experimented with a couple of practice sessions, we will begin brainstorming about our audio storytelling video portfolios.

We will then work together in class on some of the initial aspects of our portfolio creation process.

Today we will conduct a practice podcast session. We will use a modified version of the research brief that you submitted over the weekend.

Today we will focus on getting started with revisions to our audio essays, and then on preparing for our podcasts by conducting research. Follow these steps:

Once we have listened to a couple of samples, we will conduct a peer review exercise. You can complete this in class or as homework if you do not finish. Follow these steps:
Listen to at least four of the audio essays that have been posted on our site. Don't just start at the top, but instead choose four randomly from the list.

Today we will begin by listening to some of the expert samples we collected and thinking about how best to integrate them into our audio essays.
Next, we will conduct an in-class exercise using some of the samples that will prepare us for our next assignment.
Next, we will look over and discuss our Podcast assignment.
Today we will experiment with the best ways of integrating "expert audio" snippets from others into our essays. Before getting started, we will prepare our Audacity programs to export files in mp3 format. Follow these steps:
First, open the file you are composing with the draft of your audio essay. (If you have yet to begin the project, you will need to open a new project.)
Next, download and install the LAME library. Follow these links and instructions.
Today we will learn a few more Audacity composing strategies, and then begin working to turn our scripts into complete drafts of audio essays.

First, locate all of the images you have created, and make sure you have copies on your laptop--there will be four:
Once you have located the files for each of these images, you can create captures of your Instagram stories. The aim will be to record an mp4 file that captures the story.
Today we will go over our visuals and storytelling video assignment. We will begin this project as we wrap up our social media projects.
We will also do an improv activity using phones and phone applications as composing tools. (If you do not have a smart phone, partner with a fellow classmate.)

Today, we will switch to the final tasks of our social media assignment. First, we will look over the last stage that has been added to the assignment.
Next, we will talk about the Story feature in Instagram. Looking at some sample stories and some more.
We will start today by looking at some of the artistic animated GIFs that we have discovered.
Next, we will revisit the strategies for making short videos into animated GIFs, and then adjusting the timing of materials.
Next, we will look at a new mode of composing, by building an animation from scratch. Here is a tutorial to help with that.
Today we will take a few minutes to talk about our meme projects. We will look over all of them, and then I will go over the process of submitting your final two meme images.
