A revised video poem for the poem "This is Just to Say". I switched imagery and also added some more audio. I wanted to try something out of the box and go for a scary type theme. |

For my revision I spent a majority of my time on the selection of the video clips and the edits I did to make the clips really impact the poem. A major flaw of my poem draft was the timing of the clips and the words. To fix this but keep the original tempo that I intended was to make the clips longs and for the words to stay on screen longer to allow for them to be read. I wanted to make a poem that was fast pace but also very impactful. |

For my video, I decided to use dancing videos to portray a somewhat deep and personal poem by Selena Odom. I revised my e-poem by using multiple dancers from multiple videos, as well as modifying the text to be similar in every clip. I hope it has a bigger impact, for it is inspired by a family member (who is a dancer) who suffered through a difficult time. Thanks for watching! |

My poem is from the perspective of a mother who's child endures physical struggles as a result of his seizures. And throughout the poem she speaks in many metaphors that describe her child as much more than a medical condition. In the end, the theme of a mother's love shines through. |

To revise my poem, I decided to get rid of the change in tone halfway and stick to the original, calming theme. I also made edits to the text display and added another few lines so that it would end in an appropriate spot. I think this video captures the true meaning of the poem more accurately. |

This poem is by Mary Elizabeth Frye. The speaker in the poem is someone who has passed away and is asking the mourners not to cry. In this video I interpreted the poem by portraying acts of kindness, actions that can live on even after a person has passed away or moved on. |

This is an e-poem of the "The Sky" by Alfred Kreymborg. The text is rather metaphorical, but I use a mix of still images and short video clips to illustrate the poem. |

Fire and Ice is a poem by Robert Frost that is focused on two elements of nature, fire and ice, that are a polar opposites yet have the same destructive capabilities. This can be taken in a literal sense of fire and ice as parts of nature, and also in a metaphorical sense with desire and hate. |

Elaine Equi's "Earth, You Have Returned to Me" is a poem that describes the struggles one faces when overcoming an addiction. This video shares a first-person perspective of an ordinary guy's day who has battled with and overcome an addiction of his own. The video attempts to convey that really anyone could be battling with something inside that no one sees and still just be going through with the motions of life. |

Out of the night that covers me, Black as the pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the Horror of the shade, And yet the menace of the years Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul. |

Robert Frost's poem, The Road Not Taken, is an ambiguous poem that makes readers think about choices in life, whether to conform to society or be different and choose their own path. |

There's something about the season. We all try our best. Hang those lights outside your house. Count the ways you're blessed. |

This screen performance brings together turtles and butterflies. The turtle connects me with family--something about the longevity and constancy. |
