Reflection

I think the most obvious difference between the audio essay and the podcast was the expansion of the breadth and depth of ideas that were explored in the podcast vs. the audio essay. I think that the collaborative process inherent in the podcast made the ideas at the core of my project come to light in a more fleshed out and relatable manner. While the podcast was less smooth and rehearsed than the audio essay, I think that the free form of the podcast allowed me to add more personal thoughts and creative tangents to the concepts that made the process both more enjoyable and eye-opening.

Audio Projects Reflection

The audio essay was very different from the podcast despite both projects being complementary audio projects. In the essay, I found that I was more focused on my own "voice" and delivery. Since I had already prepared my essay and research, there were fewer instances for me to think creatively or critically while recording. On the other hand, the podcasts made me think on the spot to respond to some of my partner's responses. I also had to multitask to an extent when listening to my partner, responding and preparing my next question or comment.
