Differences

There were many differences between my audio essay and the podcast I created. The obvious differences  are in the tone (informative vs conversational) and the fact that the podcast included two people. The other differences came in topic. While in the audio essay I didn't have enough time to touch on lots of different aspects of memes and only talked about inside knowledge, in the podcast, I was able to not only touch on what kind of knowledge it takes to understand a meme, but also the impact of these memes on our culture.

Podcast Audio essay Reflection

One of the main differences between my audio essay and my podcast was flow. What I mean by flow is that in my audio essay there is a clear structure, beginning, middle, and end. The flow in my podcast was almost improvisational. I had questions laid out but depending on the reaction of the interviewee a different question could arise. I had to adapt to the flow of the conversation. This made it easier to listen in and out of, which is necessary for podcast because no one is going to listen to all 15 minutes with an undivided attention.
