In my opinion, the podcast was more fun to record and is easier for conveying points and data. The primary reason behind this is the time limit, as the audio essay sort of feels like trying to write a research paper in under a page. The podcast allows much more time for freedom and conversation, and it felt like I had more room to discuss my thoughts and interpretations of the topic. The collaborative aspect of the podcast also made it easier, as it felt more like discussing my interests rather than trying to present information in a concise way.

When making my audio essay and podcast one of the biggest differences that I noticed was the purpose of the composition. For the audio essay, I wanted it to sound conversational so that it wasn't boring and monotone but I also needed it to be concise and informative. Whereas the podcast was an opportunity to have a lengthier conversation between two people about the same topic. I think that the podcast allowed for more creativity and freedom where as the audio essay was limited.
