I think the most obvious difference between the audio essay and the podcast was the expansion of the breadth and depth of ideas that were explored in the podcast vs. the audio essay. I think that the collaborative process inherent in the podcast made the ideas at the core of my project come to light in a more fleshed out and relatable manner. While the podcast was less smooth and rehearsed than the audio essay, I think that the free form of the podcast allowed me to add more personal thoughts and creative tangents to the concepts that made the process both more enjoyable and eye-opening. The addition of a partner also made it more informative and engaging for me especially because he was knowledgable on the topic and had personal experience to bring to the table. I am hoping that this emotion and our experience is reflected within the audio and dialogue and makes for a more interesting and engaging experience for the listener.
