Today we talked briefly about the progress with the Pinterest scraping. Some of us are having issues with the word clouds loading in the last stage. Sabrina and I went through this and on a second try they seemed to work fine. If there seems to be a problem, the best bet might be to wait a few minutes, and then retry.
We also spent a good deal of time discussing the portfolio assignment. I shared details about the expectations, so if you missed the zoom session, watch the recording:

Today, we will review our class portfolio assignment. I will discuss the expectations and answer any questions.
We will also spend time working with any issues that may have come up with our Pinterest assignment.
Compose a portfolio of your work in the class. Before getting started think about these big picture aspects of portfolios: The portfolio serves two main purposes: 1) to allow continued revision of your projects, and 2) to promote reflection on what you have learned in the class. For the purpose of the portfolio composition, the reflections will matter the most--though they will be built upon solid projects.

I was really interested in the implicit ratings and satisfaction of the logs — i thought about spotify a bit
mostly because spotify seems to know my music taste 100% and all the recommended songs are amazing, but ive had it for years so its built to like know me more i feel
