Today, we will conduct some studio feedback of our videos in progress. I will guide us through the activities.
We will also go over the submission process for our video drafts. You will need either a YouTube or Vimeo account. YouTube will already have you in the system if you use google. Vimeo steers you toward paying on their sign up page, but if you select Vimeo Basic, it is free.
Read the items linked below. The first is related to audio modes and not DH concerns and controversy. After reading the second article, conduct some brief research and identify another piece (blog posting, article, video, etc.) that speaks to a controversy or point of contention associated with digital humanities. Add a comment with a link or reference to the item you have found.
Today we will quickly look over our schedule to get a sense of our trajectory.
We will then discuss our readings.
We will also explore some aspects of fair use. We will use the US Copyright Office guidelines, and then watch a short video.
With any leftover time, we will work on our videos.
