Audio Essay and Podcast Reflection

The main difference in my opinion between the podcast and audio essay that we listened to was the tone. The tone of my audio essay was to inform the audience and use a more professional tone to communicate my ideas in a clear and thoughtful manner. For the podcast since it was 5 times longer I needed to make sure that I kept my audience entertained. I used a more conversational tone and examples from everyday life to keep the audience engaged throughout the piece. Due to the shortness of the audio essay it was easier to edit it to be more creative. The collaboration aspect of the projects was very different. For my audio essay I had a script and collaborated with others to make edits, but the majority of the project was completed myself. For my podcast I first came up with my own questions and expert pieces to bring into the conversation, but a lot of it was left up to collaboration with my guest about what questions they found interesting and wanted to converse on.
