Overall I thought this was a successful audio essay. The pacing of narration throughout was good, as it was very easy to follow what you were talking about. I would recommend trying to put a little more inflection at certain points you think you should emphasize more. The mix of both sound effects and expert audio pieces was a good balance that helped keep me interested as the essay went along. All of the audio levels seemed consistent as well. Great job!
The Star Wars music creates…
The Star Wars music creates a compelling opening. I think fading it in might be helpful. You might be able to fade it out more slowly and have it play low in the background. The two Pyscho samples work well. The Jaws sample also does well at holding the listener's interest. The narration does well at guiding the listener. In spots it feels a bit like it is being read, so if you can get it to be a bit more conversational, it will help with the tone. Some of the samples can be adjusted for smoother fade ins and outs. I wonder if the Shepherd's tone segment can be trimmed to some of the material toward the end of it. You will want to work on the volume levels to make sure that the narration is not overwhelmed in any segments. You can also think about whether some music in the background at the end or in other spots along the way will help add texture and ease things in and out. Nice work.Â
