What did you feel to be the most successful element of the report?

  • The flow and logic of the report was strong. There wasn’t too many overwhelming visuals which helped the flow, but it was described in a way that allowed the reader to easily follow.

Where in the report did you have any questions or confusion?

  • I thought your report was clear and straightforward. My only question would be why did you want to choose this project ? How does it relate to you personally? (It might be a cool way to center the video project if there is a personal element? Just a thought, not criticism)

After reading the report, what might you like to know more about?

  • It would be interesting to see the different visuals for the poems you mentioned in the beginning, we saw Song of Innocence, but it would be cool to see London and Holy Thursday as well.
  • I also am fascinated by the process of gathering the WIlliam Blake Stuff, maybe looking forward to the video project it might be an interesting element to incorporate

After reading the report, what aspects of the piece might you consider emulating for your own report?

  • I really liked the short overview of different types of William Blake poems and what they emulated in society -- I might be interested in adding an overall societal impact on my report

Share any other thoughts or suggestions you have.

  • Great introduction and overview of William Blake
  • I really enjoyed the visual elements, it really helped to augment the story arch

What did you feel to be the most successful element of the report?

The most successful element of the report was the in-depth knowledge of William Blake and his works. The author explains why Blake's works are specifically suited towards digitization, which I think is the most compelling part of the Archive. I also think the language is clear and concise.

Where in the report did you have any questions or confusion?

I was confused by the different arguments that the author was making. I gathered that they argued that: 1) the WBA exemplifies DH and its abilities, 2) one of the main reasons that the WBA is successful is because of the diversity and multiplicity of Blake's work, and 3) there is still interpretation that goes on by scholars who have to manually input data. I guess my question is: what do these three arguments mean when they are put together?

After reading the report, what might you like to know more about?

I'd like to hear more about Joe Fletcher and also about Glass- who it sounds like you interviewed, which is really cool and could be a more personal part of the report.

After reading the report, what aspects of the piece might you consider emulating for your own report?

I'd like to include visuals in my report-- they really helped me get invested in the WBA. I also want to talk about the things that my project isn't doing well, which I think you did a really good job of highlighting without distracting from the rest of your argument.

I really enjoyed learning about this project. I think you did a great job including some of the more technical parts of the project without getting into nitty-gritty stuff.
