Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

This video was great at producing a positive and light mood. I think you did a great job layering text with different sizes and how you varied where they were placed. The movement wasn't distracting but added to the composition. I really liked the multiple frames of the children. One thing to note is that your text once was cut off on screen. And for "I am not there;" the text was right on the edge of the screen. I would suggest trying to keep the padding equidistant all the way around just for continuity.

The use of the canvas that opens up the piece is working well. I also like the musical selection. I also like the way you are delivering the text dynamically in smaller pieces starting around 22 seconds. It might be that the pacing of text on screen in these segments could be slowed down just a bit. Starting around 43 secs, the pacing seems to be working well. There is a small edge on some of the clips that can be cropped. The juxtaposition of the music and the poem comes through nicely around 1:00. There is a nice flow and feeling that comes together in the piece, so fine tuning some of the elements and making some adjustments for pacing should really bring out the poem well. Nice work.

I really enjoyed the uplifting music and the way your words appeared on screen. Where your video really shined was the ending, the clips conveyed the message perfectly and the editing was nice. My suggestion is to change some of the clips at the beginning to compliment your beautiful ending.

I liked how the video was not full screen at some times and that the words were on the black because I found it easy to follow along with the poem. Also, I thought it was creative to have multiple pictures or videos on the screen at the same time. The video choices and calming music were unique and helped me understand the meaning of the poem. Overall, I thought this video poem was creative and well done.
