Today, we will start by looking over some of our readings.
Next, we will experiment with videos.
In groups of two, work together to help one another complete the following tasks. (Note if one member of your group had difficulties installing the Adobe Rush program, you can use one computer for this exercise and work together.)
Download onto your computer these files. You will be downloading a "zip" file that you will need to open/uncompress.
Think about this poem:
Risk, by Anais Nin
And then the day came,
when the risk
to remain tight
in a bud
was more painful
than the risk
it took
to blossom.
Open Adobe Rush, and navigate to the folder that you downloaded in the media window. Pick items to import--be sure to get some audio as well as video.
Next, to create a video poem using the materials. Import more items if needed. Add titles to deliver the text of the poem. Add music. Add some sound effects. Do some polishing to fine tune the pacing.
When finished, export (Share) the poem as an mp4 file, and then upload it to our site using the improv video option.
Work quickly, but also try to put together a compelling piece.
For homework, complete your poetry essay. Upload the draft of the essay before class using the poetry research and analysis option.
