Audio Essay Draft

I thought your use of sound effects throughout was the best part of this audio essay. I also liked that you incorporated multiple outside sources to help expand on the points you were making. The audio samples didn't take up too much time, which allowed you to make your points about the connection between memes and seeking instant gratification through the internet. Great job! 

I agree with what Sam said about your use of sound effects. These little sound clips made your audio essay very appealing. Also, you're audio sources were seamlessly integrated and added value to your essay. Your pacing was consistent and clear, but I would recommend adding some inflection to your voice in the audio. Ultimately, I think it a great first draft!

I like the typing sounds that open the piece. The narration also has a nice tone to it. The pacing is also working well. The set up for the first clip is working well. You might experiment with some light ambient music in the background. The specific examples of memes are working well. You might be able to weave some sounds into the piece here—cats or GOT clips. I think the trimming of the capitals segment has worked well, but the narrative set up might still be tweaked/trimmed a bit. The information coming through in the narration is working well. I like the humor in the ending as well. Just a few tweaks to the lead in to the capital clip, and then focusing on sonic elements, potential music, etc. will take it to the next level. Nice work. 

I enjoyed your use of sound effects; I thought they were integrated well.  I like how you guided the entire audio essay, while the sound clips enhanced your essay. Also, the pace of your speaking was consistent and your voice was always clear. 

I really liked your audio essay! I think it was interesting and well paced. You also had a good balance of expert clips and your own audio. My one suggestion would be to turn your expert clips up just a tad so the sound level matches the level of your voice a bit better.
