The narration has a nice informal tone. I feel like the background noises can be lowered so the narration can have more presence. There are spots where you can smooth transitions. In spots, the pacing of the narration might be slowed a bit. I wonder if the part with 45 secs left about taking headphones back out might fit better before the conversation with Caroline. I like the closing sentiment. You might be able to use music or ambient sound for the close out. Nice work.
Hailey, I love the topic of this audio essay! I also really liked the sound effects that you chose, they’re very realistic and truly sound just like an airport. There are a few instances, like when you first put in your earbuds, where the sound effects feel just a little bit overpowering, but this can be fixed very easily. I really love how you repeating the one saying throughout the essay, it created an almost poetic quality and the perfect way to end the essay. Awesome job!
I love how you used observation to share deeper insight on how the world works. I love that you took something that was so normal and turned it into a complex idea that sets up more room for thought. The sounds you incorporated definitely contributed to a realistic setting, but I would suggest to tweak the audio volumes a little more, so that the sounds all run smoothly.
