Today, we will begin with a quick look at our reading. We might think about:
- Tensions between "hack versus yak"
- Questions of concurrence versus causality
- How "modular" are current digital spaces?
- Unix rules and philosophy.
We will then touch base about the video projects.
We will then have a discussion about our next assignment.
Once we have a sense of what we will be doing for the assignment, we will work together to identify topics and form groups. Based on our comments so far, here are several possibilities:
- Chronic pain/disabilities/access
- Race/Diversity
- Censorship/Filtering
- Insularity/non-public
- Artificial Intelligence/Black boxes
- Labor/Economics/Class
- Surveillance
- Digital Divides
- Technical Utopianism
Once we have sorted out our topics and group assignments, we will break into groups and begin the work of preparing for our live podcasts. Here are the sprint instructions for that.
