Emoji Audio Essay

I was not sure if there were too many pauses between the recorded sound clips even though I tried lining up the sound clips successively. I could add transitional music to not create the pauses in between. Also, some of my external source audio clips have background music. I was not sure if the background music from these external source audio clips was taking away from what was being expressed. I can try learning how to mute the background music but still have the audio of the external sources be present.

The music pulls in the listener nicely. The points and content seem to be working well. The narration is also captured well, but I feel like there is a bit of a reading from a script feel--just a bit. The first clip has good content, but some smoothing in and our and/or work with the background audio in the clip will make it more polished. For the second clip, you might think about how your musical selections will/will not resonate with the background, and again think about the smoothness of moving in and out of the clip. The third clip seems to be integrated well. I wasn't sure about the phrase "make meaning to words. . . ." I wonder if the last clip and narrative segment might be trimmed just a bit. The clips and the narrative content are all providing great information, so working on the sonic and technical aspects of weaving in the clips and experimenting with the tone of the narration will make it even stronger. Nice work.
