For homework, please complete these two tasks before class on Wednesday:

1. Reading. Go to the reading for Wednesday, read the item(s), and then share your thoughts.

2. Peer review. Go to the list of playlists, and then use the list below to identify items to peer review. Open the item, and then play the songs while reading through the entries. Add a comment responding to these prompts:

• How well does the project situate the character and story for you? If you had not read the book, would it still make sense?
• What can you say about the song selections? Are there any items that fit better than others with your sense of the character?
• How well does the playlist capture the sonic elements of the selections? What kinds of descriptions might extend the sonic analysis?
• What can you say about the character traits discussed in the entries? Are there strategies for moving any descriptions from summary of events and toward insights into the psyche of the character?
• What is working well or has room for strengthening in the prose for the descriptions? How should the writer approach revising the prose?
• What suggestions do you have about the look and feel of the list?

You can either respond prompt-by-prompt or write a blanket paragraph sharing your thoughts on these aspects.
