Investigating Classic Horror Cinema via Data Mining, or the “Frankenstein Complex”

I like the mix of spooky opening sounds and the narration. The visual materials are also working well. I wonder if around 0:20 you might swap in imagery of the collection artifacts or Jiang to help people get oriented. It is easy to lose track of Jiang. Perhaps a bit of slower pacing here as well? You could also rework things to make this transition and introduce the epiphany and Jiang after you come out of the classic films.  The details on the F complex provided with the typing on screen are working well. Was the Hays code 43 or 34? The movement among segments through the narration is working well. It might be that some fades, pauses, and other transitions can help with the movements between segments. I like the aesthetic used during the archive segments. For the segments starting around 3:50, you might experiment with some other methods of highlighting the text. Perhaps a larger font and/or cuts between excerpts or some zooming in on passages would add variety and foreground some of the points. At some points you might show searches in search fields or other ways of resonating with the narrative points visually. Another possible tweak might be to pare down some of the prose in the narration toward the end or along the way and/or adjust the pitch to be a bit more general. Also slowing the pace can help with the digesting of the information. This is an interesting way of engaging with an article, so the methods for getting the text on screen and getting the points to the viewer are in some ways still being invented. You can try some options and see what works and what doesn't. The aesthetic, information, and points are all quite engaging. Nice work.
