Thinking about Pinterest and identity is a natural direction after discussing gender, class, ethnicity, and social groups. This exercise also hits at deeper truths about our digital selves than transcend specific platforms.
I personally didn't connect as much to this topic as the other focuses of the project.
While it was a little bit harder to think about and record within a vertical video format, I think it was the right decision. The form matches the function, because we often consume social media in a vertical format. Furthermore, having the ability to compose in a vertical format will only be more valuable as platforms like TikTok gain traction. I think I could use more practice and instruction for creating vertical video.
