Exploring Data, Age, and Gender in Pinterest

I like the way you introduce the project. The music does nicely at adding sonic interest in the beginning. It can be faded out. And you might think about adding ambient music quietly throughout. The use of animations and text resonates well with the narration. Starting around 47 secs, you might add a passage from Tekobe or some other elements to break up the animation on screen. The discussion of the Pinterest experiment is working well. The conclusions about the results are well articulated. For the red data search imagery, you might break up the scrolling in spots and show a word cloud sooner--e.g., Dillards. At around 3:35, I'm starting to think that Pinterest is using data outside of the profile information to generate the similar images. You might think about whether/how to weave that possibility into some of your conclusions. For the comparison of word clouds at around 4:24, it might be good to just insert a frame/image of each column, and then cut from one to the other. The vacation discussion is working well. Again, a bit less scrolling and more lingering on some imagery for longer might be good. The discussion of the various searches is working well. Thinking about the ways the similarities might be linked to non-profile data might recast some of the final conclusions. Weaving in this possibility, and then reworking some of the imagery--as well as adding/fine tuning the musical background--can be good places to develop any revisions. Nice work.
