New Era, Same Game: The Role of D&D Beyond in Dungeons & Dragons

The montage of imagery and narration do well at creating an engaging opening for the piece. The narration also has a nice tone. The pacing of narration may be a bit quick in spots. It's fine if it stretches out a bit. For the imagery between around 45 secs and 1:36 (and even up to 2:09), it might be good to think about strategies for breaking up the cursor over browser imagery. Maybe cut to an instance of one of the tools, a forum posting zoomed in, etc. This might also be one of the places to think about potential streamlining. Is there a more essential aspect or online tool that might be emphasized while leaving some of the others off the table and alluded to in the narration. This might trim the length and open space for more pauses and a bit slower pace. Work in the transcript is likely a good place to start for this kind of thinking. Pauses/transitions might be useful at moments like around 2:09. You might even cut to some of the capture footage of Critical Role a bit sooner and have it play silently to break up the still image at 2:09. You might also drop out the volume of the footage at some point and bring back your narration and then the animation. Not sure the best strategy, but you can think through what might be had by trying to get the ~2 minutes of so footage down to more like 60 secs, etc. I'm trying to recall what discussions we had regarding the second half and translating your story to the screen. Honestly, I'm not sure what strategies make the most sense. My initial feeling is that the piece on paper works so well that the segment here with the reading over the still image--paradoxically--is less vivid and compelling. It might be that switching to make the focus more on the more analytical first half and getting the imagery and pitch right there makes the most sense. Maybe there is a way to create an opening frame that sets up the paper vs digital concerns more concisely, then circle back to it with less material at the end. Again, you may have other ideas for the material from 4:30-9:40. And we can discuss further. The coverage of the electronic tools and narration is compelling and some adjustments in imagery will make it even stronger. Nice work.
